Round Two for Rocco
Round 2 is officially underway! My mom, Papi, Rocky and I arrived in Chicago on Sunday, 9/13, late morning. Rocky did incredibly well on the flight, even though we were delayed on the tarmac in Orlando for a little over an hour. Once we landed, we grabbed our luggage and rental car. It took us a few tries to get the car seat installed, but eventually we got it figured out and headed out to grab some lunch. We couldn’t check into our Airbnb until 4, and since we are staying in a different suburb this time, we drove around a little to get a lay of the land. We ate at a delicious Italian restaurant. Then we stopped at a nearby mall with a Target to pick up some essentials. The mall also had a Toys R Us, so Rocky got to look around and play with some of the display toys. Around this time, I started feeling a little on edge. The anticipation of surgery the next day and everything the coming week would bring was starting to sink in.
